In-House Chip Expertise: Keeping Compatible and Remanufactured Consumables Working

Modern printers do not just hold toner — they talk to it. A small chip on every cartridge identifies the supply, reports levels and interacts with the printer’s firmware. When that conversation goes wrong, a perfectly good cartridge can be rejected or flagged, and that is exactly where deep, hands-on knowledge makes the difference.

At Ergonet, cartridge chips are a core in-house competence. We understand chip compatibility across device families, we handle re-chipping where it is needed, and we follow how OEM firmware behaves and evolves — so the compatible and remanufactured consumables we supply keep doing their job reliably, print after print. For Canon devices in particular, components and technology from our partner Static Control (Static Control Components, a US manufacturer of imaging-supply components, toner and chips) help us resolve compatibility challenges cleanly and correctly.

This know-how sits alongside our printer service and repair capability, so when a question does arise, it is answered by people who actually understand what is happening between the cartridge and the machine — not by guesswork.

For our customers, it means a genuine choice of quality consumables that simply work, backed by support that understands the technology behind them.
