HP unveils DesignJet Z6 and Z9+ Plus Edition large-format printers at FESPA 2026

HP has expanded its large-format graphics lineup with the DesignJet Z6 and Z9+ PostScript Printer Series Plus Edition, announced at FESPA 2026. The new models merge the strengths of the previous Z6 and Z9 lines into a single platform aimed at small and medium businesses such as photo studios, retailers, copy shops, education facilities and architecture firms. HP highlights Pixel Control technology and Vivid Photo Inks for sharp, water-resistant output, a dual-drop approach that removes the need for light inks, and new productivity print modes the company says can cut printing time substantially. Dual-roll support with automatic roll switching and an integrated vertical trimmer are designed to reduce manual handling, while the Z9+ adds an embedded spectrophotometer for color calibration.

The series is built on a platform with more than 40,000 units installed worldwide and becomes generally available from 22 June 2026. Alongside the hardware, HP announced new capabilities for its PrintOS Production Hub workflow software, including order approval, an orders API for CRM and ERP integration, and AI-based image upscaling. Ergonet is an authorised HP reseller and service provider, supporting customers across the HP printing portfolio.
