At FESPA 2026 HP announced the DesignJet Z6 and Z9+ PostScript Printer Series Plus Edition. They bring the Z6 and Z9 lines onto one platform, for small and medium businesses such as photo studios, retailers, copy shops, education and architecture firms.
Pixel Control technology and Vivid Photo Inks give sharp, water-resistant output. A dual-drop approach removes the need for light inks, and new productivity modes, HP says, cut printing time substantially. Dual rolls with automatic switching and an integrated vertical trimmer reduce handling, and the Z9+ has an embedded spectrophotometer for colour calibration.
The platform has more than 40,000 units installed worldwide, and the series is available from 22 June 2026. HP also announced new PrintOS Production Hub features: order approval, an orders API for CRM and ERP integration, and AI image upscaling.
