Canon U.S.A. opens a U.S. remanufacturing operation with two colour A3 MFPs built to cut e-waste.

Canon U.S.A. has started remanufacturing multifunction devices in the U.S., at Canon Virginia. The first line is the imageRUNNER ADVANCE DX C5800 RM Series, with two colour A3 models: the C5860i RM at up to 60 pages per minute and the C5840i RM at up to 40.

Each machine goes through diagnostic testing, cleaning and replacement of key components, so it performs like new. More than 90% of the parts in each unit are reused, with less e-waste and no loss in output quality.

Canon is bringing the remanufacturing processes it uses internationally to the U.S. Offices get A3 colour printing with a smaller environmental footprint.
